ABOUT MORENIKE
Morenike Nolan believes that a healthy counseling experience is built on compassion and empathy. She was drawn to the mental health profession after spending many years educating students and providing support for youth who were struggling with various personal stressors. Finding ways to help provide strategies and techniques to cope with life’s adversity, compelled her to enter the mental health profession.
Morenike graduated with honors from Alfred University and obtained a School Counseling degree. She continued her studies at Alfred University in the Advanced Mental Health Counseling program.
Morenike understands that trauma, stress, anxiety, depression and other factors can affect one’s mental, physical and emotional wellness. Her passion is to help her clients recognize their own ability and strength. She gently guides and encourages her clients to develop helpful techniques that support them through challenging times.
Morenike uses a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, SBFT and Gestalt Play Therapy. Morenike understands that every individual is unique and provides her clients the ability to explore and challenge themselves to be active in their healing process.
