Anabel Garcia
I am currently pursuing my second Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mercy University. I earned my undergraduate and first Master's degree at St. Thomas Aquinas College, where I studied Psychology, Business Administration, Public Administration, and Criminal Justice.
Growing up in New York City surrounded by many different cultures, I witnessed firsthand the lack of mental health awareness within communities. My passion for mental health and advocacy comes from wanting to support individuals navigating their healing journey for the first time.
I have experience in crisis work and supporting diverse populations. My approach focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered. I incorporate somatic-based approaches and value the connection between the mind and body throughout the healing process.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy music, cooking, spending time in nature, and connecting with different communities and cultures.
