Angalina Leggieri has her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling. She currently holds a Limited Permit and expects to obtain her State License in Mental Health Counseling within the next year. Angalina has had the opportunity to work in a very diversified and intense clinical setting where she aided individuals struggling with an array of mental illness and everyday life complications.
She has experience working with individual, family, and couples therapy. Angalina prefers to take a very holistic approach to therapy, but her therapeutic techniques are primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy focused.
She considers herself to be eclectic and enlists a variety of methods when working on an individual's needs, as she believes we are all different and our needs require different methods. She understands that life can be overwhelming and making the decision to engage and focus on one's own mental health can be scary, but investing in yourself is the best thing you can do inside and out. She believes that no issue is too little or too big, we all interpret life in different ways and it affects our lives in so many different areas so just having someone unbiased, non-judgmental and present to listen can make so much difference in everyday lives.
Working together with clients to address root causes of difficulties faced and build meaningful connections in life in a manner that also fosters self-awareness and connection is something Angalina is truly passionate about.
